Maybe he was just leaving the TV on for the dog?
In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.
In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.
His mouthpieces are claiming that the increase is in “green” electricity so the carbon nets zero.
In his defense (did I just say that?), Gore's house is halfway between my brother's house and my parent's house. I drove by a number of times in the last year. I have never seen so much construction activity on a residential project. That might account for some of this usage…but not 231 extra houses worth.
