Not a surprise at all, as I expect a Lowell Sun endorsement in both the primary and general. Jim Campinini seems to have remembered his papers conservative past. Dick Howe, Jr. is reporting on richardhowe.com that The Sun endorsed.
When the endorsement is online I’ll link to it.
UPDATE: Lowell Sun endorsement now online. It is a great endorsement, more like a general election endorsement than a primary endorsement.
When Jim Ogonowski says he’s not a typical Republican, believe him. The Dracut farmer and retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel differs on several key issues with the GOP majority, and he’s not afraid to say so.
Ogonowski feels his candid, common-sense views will help him win over voters in the Sept. 4 Republican primary for the 5th Congressional District seat.
He’s certainly got our ear.
Ogonowski, 49, is a family man who works hard for a living running a farm. He knows how difficult it can be to scrape together enough money to send a couple of kids to college (he has two) and still make a mortgage payment and buy groceries.
Too many federal lawmakers never had to stretch a paycheck to make ends meet — or they forgot how to do so a long time ago.
