The Republican Party under new chairman Peter Torkildsen faces it’s first major test in May. That test is to fill the seat vacated by Bobby Coughlin, the Eleventh Norfolk – Consisting of the town of Dedham, precinct 8, of the town of Walpole, and the town of Westwood, all in the county of Norfolk.
The Republican Party has two strong candidates in the primary. State Committeeman Bill McKinney and Doug Obey who ran a campaign against Marian Walsh last November. Either one of these candidates will be a great representative of the people and a check on the Governor.
I encourage people to help both of these candidates. If you are the type that likes to sit on the sidelines during a primary, the state party could probably use help doing preliminary voter vault work before the general.
